How to travel smart!
Do you always find it hard and time consuming when trying to figure out on what to carry on your trip? Well this is a common thing to most travelers and it can be frustrating. Well let’s try to find out how we can overcome this challenge together!
To ensure you spend minimal time and pack smart try the following rules below.
Always do a research of the town you are travelling to, and establish the weather patterns. If it’s summer you will definitely need light clothes and if it’s winter you will need warm clothes. Also put note down the nature/reason of your travel, if travelling for vacation or leisure you will need to have in mind casual clothes and if travelling for business you will need official clothes.
Always plan way early two days or one day prior to your journey, this will enable you to avoid packing items that you will end up not using.
Always make a list of the items that you really need and stick to it, this will enable you not to carry something you will not really need.
Have in mind that folded up clothes actually occupies minimal space as opposed to rolled up clothes.
Ensure to pack heavy items at the bottom of the suitcase and lighter one’s at the top, this is smart distribution of weight.
Always use smaller bags or zip locks to pack small accessories and toiletries and check to ensure cosmetics are on the top of your suitcase for easy access and to avoid ruining your clothes during checks.
Yes! Reduce the number of shoes you bring along. Brown/black only packs one pair of flats and one pair of heels for every trip. “Both can be used to make pants, shorts or a dress casual or dressy”
Well also ensure to buy travel size items to use, you can buy small plastic bottles to carry your shampoo, conditioner, lotion or makeup as opposed to carry the whole container that you use at home.
Make your carry-on count. Investing in a durable and elegant suitcase is also good as it will give you ample time and pack stress free as most have built-in compartments and collapsible shelves for easy packing.
Always travel smart the modern way. J
