Mwamba Rugby Club announced a one year strategic partnership with leading luxury bus company Modern Coast to become the official Club transport partner.
The partnership commenced immediately, with the club travelling to Driftwoods Sevens hosted by Mombasa RFC in a branded bus.
Through the partnership, Modern Coast sponsored the club financially as well as provide a branded bus to transport the club during local tournaments and league matches.
This ground breaking strategic partnership will see Modern Coast establish itself as a regional market leader in luxury transport. The club will offer a platform for the bus company to showcase their products and services to their fans and the greater rugby fraternity.

The partnership commenced during the annual George Mwangi Kabeberi Memorial Sevens tournament hosted by the club at RFUEA Grounds on 13 August 2016. A Mwamba RFC-branded Modern Coast bus was on display during the tourney. It also ferried players to and from the venue.
Mwamba Rugby Club honorary president, Alvas Onguru hailed Modern Coast, describing the partnership as timely to the club. He revealed that the partnership would go a long way in sorting out the transportation challenges that the club faced.

Founded in 1977, Mwamba RFC has produced some of the Kenya’s finest rugby players. Olympiads Collins Injera, Humphrey Kayange and Dennis Ombachi are some of the club’s products. Others are former internationals Horace Otieno, Johnny Mbai and Victor Opong.
